Piltec's expertise is in plastics extrusion processing with a particular focus on the automotive market, a market in which we are one of the leading European manufacturers of control cable liners. We have an ongoing programme of investigation into new technologies and processing techniques in order to keep in step with the latest automotive industry requirements and developing these where they are a good fit with our core market.
Piltec has both ISO 9001 and TS16949 quality certification to meet stringent automotive standards and our modern extrusion equipment is fitted with the latest inline laser and ultrasound sizing gauges.

Developing products to increase
performance and service life
Piltec has recently developed a low friction control cable liner that
features lateral internal ribs, or corrugations, to reduce contact area -
a world first in liner processing technology which has been protected
with a patent application. The product range is manufactured from
fluorinated engineering polymers to give maximum service durability and
to reduce friction and sliding resistance.
Automotive
Piltec has been a supplier of control cable liners to the automotive industry for 15 years and in that time has developed a reputation for quality and reliability.
We manufacture our control cable liners from engineering polymers to provide a high level of performance and service life at significantly lower cost compared to equivalent PFTE liners. Our manufacturing tolerances are 0.05mm on inner and outer diameters, a level of accuracy and consistency not easily achieved with thermosets like PTFE.
The production plant, situated in central italy in a modern purpose designed building, includes a ‘State of the Art’ compounding line operated by highly trained and experienced staff ‘in time’ basis to all its customers...
