Piltec has been a manufacturer of polymeric liners for the automotive control cable market for almost 15 years and has acquired a reputation for reliability of supply and product quality.

Piltec's liners are extruded from engineering polymers to give exceptional durability and service life and are now available in a fluorinated low friction range that offers sliding resistance performance close to that of PTFE.

Our liner range has a dimensional tolerance of ± 0.05mm on both inner and outer diameters, a level of accuracy and consistency not easily achieved by other manufacturers using materials such as PTFE.  This level of accuracy results in a reduced incidence of 'backlash' in control cables, a source of poor in-service performance.  Our dimensional accuracy is achieved and maintained by means of in-line laser and ultrasound gauges that continuously measure the liner's inner and outer diameters.
