History

The Piltec International Group of companies operate from centres in Europe and the United States.

These companies co-operate in the research, development, production and sales of Thermoplastic and Elastomeric materials and components and also supply complete turn-key production systems for the plastics extrusion industry.

The Piltec Group was formed in the early 1980s to exploit a niche market for speciality products in the automotive industry worldwide.

PiltecStrong trading links have been forged not only in home markets but also throughout the rest of the world where the combined skills, resources and international contacts of the Piltec Group have been successful in meeting the demands of a rapidly growing sector of the plastics and rubber market.

 Directors of Piltec, meet Richard Page MP, a minister at the Department of Trade and Industry, following the Company's success in winning the 1996 Smart Award for technical innovation with its Themoplastic Elastomer 'Temprene S'.

The rapid success of the Piltec Group can be attributed to two factors: innovation and development of high technology products.

PiltecFor example, a self-skinning foam for the bodyside mouldings of automobiles was developed during the early 1980's.

This component, a world-first, was developed for a Canadian company at the request of General Motors, U.S.A. The Group has continued to develop high technology products ever since.
